Scandinavian Beer Bread

Yield: 14 oz loaf

1 1/8 t Active dry yeast
6 T lukewarm water
1/2 c dark beer heat to 110 F
1/2 t Salt
1 c  rye flour
1 1/2 c To 1-3/4 c bread flour
1/4 c dark corn syrup
1 Egg white; beaten for glaze

This richly flavored rye bread is great for open-faced sandwiches and with hearty soups.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush with the glaze. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until browned.
