Cake Decorating: Racer Cake Decorating Instructions

You will need the following to decorate your own Racer Cake:

1 Racer Cake Decorating Kit - buy it!

includes:
1 medium Tree , 1 large Tree , 3 Grand Prix racers , 2 racing flags , 1 Happy Birthday script

Cake Decorating Tips:
Tip sdt-21 for piping the top and bottom shell borders
Tip sut-233 for piping the grass
Tip sdt-4 for piping the racing strip
Airbrush Colors:
You could simply use colored icing or draw onto the cake if you do not have an airbrush system.
Green for the grass
Brown for the road

Colored Icing:
White frosting to ice your entire cake, for the top and bottom borders and to outline the checkered area
Green for the grass
Black for the checkered area

Cake Decorating Instructions & Assembly:
  • Bake and ice your favorite cake.
  • Outline the racetrack.
  • Airbrush the race track with brown color stopping at finish line.
  • Airbrush the outside of the track with green color.
  • Pipe the inside of the finish line alternating the black and white frosting.
  • Pipe the outline of the grass on the racetrack.
  • Pipe the shell borders using white frosting.
  • Place decorations on the cake.
