Cake Decorating: Pirates Cake Decorating Instructions

You will need the following to decorate your own Pirates Cake:

1 Pirates Cake Decorating Kit - buy it!

includes:
3 pirate figurines , 3 bushes

Cake Decorating Tips:
Tip sut-233 for piping the grass
Tip sdt-3 for piping the writing and the X marks the spot
Tip sdt-21 for piping the shell borders
Airbrush Colors:
You could simply use colored icing or draw onto the cake if you do not have an airbrush system.
Blue for the water
Yellow for the sand
Brown for the sand

Colored Icing:
White frosting to ice your entire cake
Green for the grass
Yellow for the borders
Black for the writing and the X marks the spot

Cake Decorating Instructions & Assembly:
  • Bake and ice your favorite cake.
  • When icing the cake, make swirls on the upper left of the cake surface to create waves and on the lower right of the cake surface to create the sand.
  • Airbrush the sand brown.
  • Airbrush the water blue.
  • Pipe the grass with green icing.
  • Pipe the writing and the X marks the spot using black icing.
  • Pipe the borders using yellow icing.
  • Place decorations on the cake.
