Christmas Decoration with Candle, Glass Ornament and Pine Branches

This decoration can be piped using colored frosting. For more contrast, you can create the candle and glass ornament using colored marzipan.

xmasck01.gif (8811 bytes) With a paper cone only:
Outline the candle with a paper cone and then fill with red icing.
Outline the glass ornament face, then fill with yellow icing. Pipe a face on top using white frosting for the 2 eyes, red frosting for the nose, black frosting for the pupils and the mouth.
Pipe the pine branches using a mixture of green and brown frosting.
Write your holiday greeting

With a paper cone and marzipan:
For the candle:
Roll out red marzipan, cut in shape of a candle
Roll out white marzipan and cut circle, air brush for some highlight effects (optional)
Assemble and pipe flame on top of it
For the glass ornament face:
Roll out yellow marzipan and cut one round circle, using white frosting pipe 2 eyes on top of it. Use red frosting to pipe a nose and black frosting for the pupils and the mouth.
For the branches:
Pipe the pine branches using a mixture of green and brown frosting.
