Christmas Cake Decorating 2

This decoration can be piped using colored frosting. For more contrast you can make the candle and glass ornaments using colored marzipan.

With a paper cone only:
Outline the candle with a paper cone and then fill with red icing.
Pipe the pine branches using a mixture of green and brown frosting.
Outline the glass ornaments, then fill with them with colored icing, air brush for some highlight effects (optional)
Write a holiday greeting if desired

With a paper cone and marzipan:
For the candle:
Roll out red marzipan, cut in shape of a candle
Roll out white marzipan and cut circle (air brush for some highlight effects - optional)
Assemble and pipe flame on top of it
For the branches:
Pipe the pine branches using a mixture of green and brown frosting.
For the glass ornament face:
Using different colors, roll out marzipan and cut several circles of different sizes, air brush for some highlight effects. (optional)
Write a holiday greeting if desired.
