Sugar: boiling - preparing the sugar

Give your swan some sugar wings

Let's create the wings.

 

Pull some sugar and cut it off using scissors.

Using the scissors, cut the sugar into the shape of a wing.

 

Make some additional decorative cuts at the side of the wing to indicate feathers.

 

Shape and curve the wing using your hands to give it a swan like look.

Using the torch, heat the side of the wing.....

 

 

... and stick it to the swan's body. Hold it in place until the sugar sets.

Repeat this step to create the second wing.

 

Look at your swan, we are almost done.
